Clouds

“Can I paint clouds?”

Marja and her husband travel extensively. From the window of a plane she is wont to take pictures of clouds and the sea. One time, while travelling by boat through the carribean, she takes pictures of sunsets. Asking herself “Can I paint clouds?” becomes the start a new creative endeavour in which she employs all previous pictures of clouds, sea and sunsets in paintings.  Through this fascination, in the end she has once more appropriated an elemental theme which will figure in and adorn subsequent works.
