The wonderful thing about ‘abstract’

Pourings, also called ‘liquid art’, are being made using a special method that uses a much thinner form of acrylic paint. The different colors are being used on top of each other and mix easily, through which an almost psychedelic effect is being reached. During the application of the paint, when it is still wet, the composition can be manipulated to reach the desired effect.

Besides using the pouring technique, in these pieces Marja also uses epoxy. From artist Marcel Westerhof she learned some tips and tricks which helped her perfect the technique of using epoxy.
